Excellent, Rosalyn.
Daniel Penny is no hero. And he let himself become a Trump prop.
Beginning to end, from the confines of a subway car to broad America, this was a tragedy with much to reconcile.
We killed someone instead of helping them.
Sadly, America has drifted into a selfish state fed by fear, which costs us daily. In the subway car, fearful passengers watched as a disturbed young man, Jordan Neely, was killed by a hero of sorts.
Our ideas of strength have been turned upside down. Adopting a service mindset (not to be confused with subservient) would strengthen us. This mindset exists in our military, making it formidable worldwide (it also lends to American business prowess).
The concept applied in the U.S. Military is that the lowest-ranked personnel are the most precious. All ranks above cater to the well-being and ability of those below. In this world, the General, CEO, and President have enormous serving responsibilities, including leadership.
Best.
