All true. And shifting from reality is dangerous for Republicans (as well as the rest of us) because it can no longer assist them. Once going outside the law we can no longer ask for assistance from the law.

Republicans are actually positioned to achieve many helpful things for the country that Democrats can have difficulty with -- the change to a green economy, a UBI system and even having more immigration. Unfortunately they are just so encapsulated in pitiful nonsense that they can't see building anything.

It will take a new generation of Republicans I guess.
