Excellent, John.

Freedom doesn't exist without security. Ask anyone in a struggling developing country.

Walking on the sidewalk in central Manhattan shouldn't be unsafe. Any killing, including the CEO of a health insurance company, is alarming. We don't want it to happen to us. Any celebration of this tragedy is shortsighted indeed.

A misconception prevails that wealthy people make others poorer. Money and wealth are generated (like it or not) primarily by the rich, who pay the bulk of the taxes to provide infrastructure and services (income mobility remains a significant issue).

"Eating the rich" will only have spite value as it will make everyone poorer.

Best.
