Joe Biden's executive order on AI may be more about projecting a grip on the future, youth, and "wisdom" regarding his reelection efforts.

Still, damage can be done. Too easily, legislation that makes little sense, is restrictive or caters to illusionary fears or special interests can pass.

We must take risks with AI and enjoy its benefits in enjoyment and raising living standards. We can monitor its use and make corrections to avert real peril should that arise.

But, Americans need to improve at managing risk. Biden blew balloons out of the sky when most were ours. He followed Trump's protectionism, resulting in Americans paying more for things under the falsehood of greater security. Biden's interference in trade and industry is counter to public wellbeing.
