As you say, DeSantis has difficulty reading the room.

While speaking out on Trump's possible indictment is a mistake that has consequences limited to his ambitions, the statements undermining the significance of defending Ukraine are irresponsible and undermine world security. What made the latter worse is that they were not off-the-cuff remarks but made with time to think.

We want DeSantis to remain a viable (as I have said before, never likable) candidate for the Republican nomination and pull votes from Trump with the long shot of a charismatic moderate surfacing.

A broken record, but I keep playing it. Democrats must move beyond Joe Biden, have an open primary, and choose a younger, more talented president.
