This case clearly demonstrates the court’s motivations. It should never have been taken up and undermines other cases and decisions.

The decision on Biden’s student loan forgiveness was likely correct: it should be decided by the Congress. Even the removal of affirmative action in university admissions had its pluses.

But when judicial deliberation becomes intertwined with or secondary to personal agendas, we have a harmful erosion of trust.
