I am no nationalist, but I agree that taking care of American demand for vaccinations first is actually logically. That said, it is very important for the U.S. (and other wealthy countries) to be working hard (and seen to be) assisting the rest of the world with their rollouts.

Biden (led by the populous) has shown an indifference to people in the rest of the world (many ways just like Trump). This was demonstrated in the Afghanistan cut and run which included cursory treatment of our European partners.

We want to avoid growing disparities of income, wealth and opportunies between the developed, developing and struggling worlds -- in ways similar to what has happened within our own borders. That (apart from the moral issue) would be enormously disruptive for implementing the solutions to climate change -- for example.
