Yes, we have it absolutely upside down. But when I talk with my mate that productivity and not "jobs" should be our goal I am swiftly told not to hush.

Folk who are not in the forefront of productivity need to be compensated though if we value our democracy. Paid if you like to keep out of the way -- to go shopping, travel the world or read (we don't have enough readers). It's a GIGANTIC cultural shift --especially for an American inclined.
