Eric Sentell, and this nonsense, we don't want. We all lose when we close out people because of their different views.

I have been disappointed to encounter some writers on Medium who will block all responses that they view as critical of their articles. As with your examples from the Supreme Court, if we are operating in a public arena, we must keep it so. In the case of Medium writers, they are canceling others' expressions that they do not own -- or should not.
