Russia's lack of understanding of the concept may be because Russia did not have colonies in the sense that Britain, France, and Holland had them. Rather, they were conquered and subjugated territories.

Donald views his place in the world from the end of a see-saw. The person at the other end must go down for him to go up. Furthermore, his see-saw world is stationary and gains nothing. It's both ironic and flabbergasting that Donald was in the construction business.
