Dustin Arand, excellent article.
There's a tendency of Democrats to determine what is good for all folk before ever asking them. Elizabeth Warren is an example of this, " I have a plan that is right for you" while never really connecting with people to ask what's important to them.
LONELINESS is a reason middle-of-country and less educated folk took up with Republicans. The Democrats withdrew their support from these places and people in favor of big cities and the coasts where their presence and investment were more likely to win districts. A grave mistake and yet to be understood and corrected.
Democrats gone, the forgotten folk fell into the arms of Republicans although they offered little (as you say). Any relationship is preferable to none at all.
Many Democrats think they can appeal to “fly over country” from Washington. They can't. It's like conducting a war with aerial bombing without support troops on the ground: however much, you won’t win.
Biden should have given a speech about tackling every day increases in prices. This may have connected and done more for retaining democracy than his address on retaining democracy. LORDY! We all go to the supermarket.
Many thanks.
Totally different, I wrote, "Time for America and NATO to Act?". Another front to move forward on.
