Duke Reeder, while the Republican party needs to melt down into a NEW Republican Party (with talented leadership, this could eventually happen), the Democrat party simply needs Biden moved out of the way to allow an open primary for 2024.

Biden is a moderate Democrat. His age is the obvious concern, but others are not receiving sufficient attention.
