Blaming Garland for Democrat's presidential loss is far-fetched. Garland exercised strength in maintaining the independence of the Justice Department amid the cries for partisan action. Unlike Chamberlain, Garland held his ground and was not deluded.

The fact that Democrats won such a loss in the presidential election must be rigorously analyzed.
