The concern is not capitalism. We need credit (and that is what money is) for any business to take place eg. you or I buying or selling something.

Social mobility is the big problem in the U.S. (and world) and it's becoming much worse. The chances of moving up in the middle and lower incomes has become more difficult while the privilaged positions of the wealthy are becoming stronger.

This costs America in the way that we are wasting talent by not investing enough in early education and having too many people with insufficent healthcare. As you say COVID brought some of these issues to our attention.

Also, the billionaires are not the problem. They don't pass the tax laws.
