Israel's relentless attack on Gaza has squandered this remarkable success. Netanyahu's stated goals of rescuing hostages and destroying Hamas (NEVER credible) have NOT been achieved and are unlikely to be. Meanwhile, there is mass starvation, more than 30,000 dead, 2 or 3 times injured, and a lawless wasteland created.

We could measure the horrific outcome (to date) BEFORE Israel entered Gaza. The counter crime of thirty times the October 7th, 2023, was deliberate.

Israelis must have a somber reckoning. They are best positioned to upright the Israeli ship. And should they choose to do so, world support can still be mustered.

Continuing on the current course will render Israel isolated in a perpetual state of siege, sapping resources and prosperity.

Indifference and isolation are crucial factors which can have devastating consequences. For decades, Israelis grew prosperous and happy with little consideration for the lives and aspirations of Palestinians. Britain's north and far southwest were forgotten by Whitehall and revenged with their Brexit vote. The indifference and isolation experienced within America delivered Donald Trump, and the selfish but futile condition has been applied globally; we appear no longer helping Ukraine.
