Comprehensive, Frances.

We need more "economic mobility" to prevent individuals and families from being stuck. While this has improved in recent years, it's insufficient, and the results are Brexits and Trumps.

Addressing Congress, which makes the tax laws, is better than attacking the wealthy. Michael Bloomberg defense of Elizabeth Warren's accusation that billionaires pay too little tax by arguing that she was better placed to change that than he was and that he simply followed the law.

Raising minimum wages, protecting jobs, and regulating rent are attempts to counter inequality, but they too often get people stuck (apart from shifting the cost to others who are unprotected). I wrote "Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! Cry the Politicians," which argues that we should abolish them.

I appreciate you reading and commenting on many of my articles.
