The reason for Pete Buttigieg to endorse Joe Biden was perhaps because he thought the odds of Biden winning against Trump were better — and Biden the better candidate to beat Trump. The party goal of voting Trump out of the White House was primo. It is unfortunate that we finished up with a weak Biden for such a job. The reality is that Pete Buttigieg can be enormously helpful in levering this flawed old man over the top — applaudable as well as sensible. An about turn to endorse Bernie would be bazaar. While Pete has aggreed with Sanders on the issues to be addressed, Pete has never bought into his solutions.
