Cleverly described with pills Carolyn.

Donald is an enormously talented confidence man (although shell games have a history of eventually collapsing).

We have long had a disgruntled group in the population that feel left out and they got their champion in Donald to offer a giant "raspberry" to all the people, ideas and institutions they believed responsible.

Donald was not really the problem -- he simply occupied it.

So, the problem remains of almost half the country united by Trump. We have to deal with the reality of that. I believe that It's not impossible to forge social/economic solutions to get us to a better place but it will take first some somber reckoning and then hard work by many.

I have written a number of pieces on "what we have" and how to move forward. Solutions that are possibly palatable and salable to both most sides -- eg. "Wings to Fly -- a platform for all" here on MEDIUM.
