Civic Ventures, the minimum wage is a low achievement bar. It's also cumbersome. Many prosperous countries around the world don't have one.

In America (and the UK), we have a problem with economic mobility that needs tackling, and the minimum wage effort is a distraction.

Better to put effort behind a base income that ALL would benefit from.

American prosperity depends on productivity rather than jobs. If we can get that figure up, all can enjoy a higher standard of living.
