Caren, yes, running for national office presents a different challenge in the ways you describe. Most contenders for the presidency have yet to have that experience.

Ron DeSantis presents himself as immature. This, apart from other traits such as being a mean-spirited bully, makes him an UNLIKABLE candidate who will NOT get there.

On the national platform, he risks appearing as a truculent schoolboy as in the governor debate against Charley Crist.

We need DeSantis to get into the race, divide the Trump vote and possibly allow Tim Scott to get the nomination.
