Taking a swing at Micky Mouse and beating up on baseball clubs may not serve well over time. Small and even larger businesses don't welcome vengeful retribution by an authoritarian leaning on government departments like the IRS, etc.

I see DeSantis becoming the Republican nominee for 2024 and he would provide a formidable challenge for Democrats (and hence, they need a candidate considerably stronger than Biden).

Trump was likable in a way. DeSantis just isn't. Obama, George W, Clinton, Reagan were all likable.
