Caren, the hearings needed to be hyped somewhat to get the viewership. And they did.

This was not an Oliver Stone deal but a dramatic factual account of the background, people, and events. The Republican response was telling in that they could not identify ANY falsehoods. And, we know they combed through every clip twice, if not three times.

David Brooks criticized the committee for playing over events instead of how we should stop this from happening again. With accountability and the record done by the committee, Brook's concern can now be achieved.

Will it change anything politically? Probably not.
