Caren, Republicans have an audience but no content. They could fill this by swiping stuff from the Democratic agenda and calling it theirs. Although this would take imagination and thoughtfulness -- two qualities currently hidden deep.

Climate is the obvious and big one for them. But healthcare could even be another (remember it was a Republican governor who brought about this in Massachusetts). Immigration could be a play for them (George W. was keen but 9/11 took over).

The many grifters would need to step back (or be stepped over) and a number of sensible (and talented) Republicans step out from the tall grass.

Democrats are NOT playing to full houses.
