Caren, Kevin McCarthy is not insane. His problem is that he is not a leader but a concierge (as a TV commentator recently stated).

The holdout Republicans are pissed that more folk didn't vote for their like in the mid-terms. And because Democrats are (somewhat) protected, they have turned their vengeance on the weakling in their camp -- Kev McCarthy.

There is an opportunity for Democrats to help usher in a Speaker of the House the country can better live with.
