Caren, I think any flack would come from the left -- that Pete is not gay enough, has a husband and two kids, and doesn't come from LA, San Francisco or New York -- is a too heterosexual stereotype. But, he has the smarts to make it work as previously.

Buttigieg is clever, personable, and accomplished, as you say. He also has an immense capacity to learn and immediately use new information. America and the world are rapidly changing with who-knows-what around the corner. Buttigieg has the breadth of vision to recognize and seize the opportunities to take us all to a better place.
