Caren, Demings needed to do better to have any chance of winning against Rubio, a likable incumbent. She appeared to fail in preparation and talked back to Rubio instead of addressing her audience.

Demings, early in the debate, had the opportunity to correct the manner of Rubio's address to her. Rubio continually referred to Congresswoman Demings as "she". A page could have been learned from the Kamala Harris playbook (can't believe I'm saying this) with Pence.

The rebuke would have shifted Marco off stance where he might not quickly recover -- Inner strength not being Rubio's revering trait.
