This is not 2017, when Trump became president. He had to deal with a pandemic, but the world today is many times more complicated, with wars and the disruptions of climate and AI -- both underestimated.

Excellent leadership and expertise are essential. However, this is unlikely with Trump, and the costs will be enormous.
