Cancelling student loan debt amounts to a gift to a particular group who have suffered through this pandemic but for the most part are perfectly able to pay back those loans. Practically it is an inefficient way of Covid relief. And, why not also cancel debt on houses and cars?

A good chunk of the money paying off student loans would flow to universities in jacked up prices for following years and cushion schools from much needed reform.

The cost of school fees and the financing of loans are the real problem.
