Caleb, pretty much right.

The problem your critics have is that they are making the wrong argument and that rents, prices and cost of labor are set not by individuals but markets. Folks can and should be given a foot up but outside (or as much as possible) of those systems.

In short, don't mess with the market, but we don't have to be stuck with its downside either.
