Cailian, the new relationship between Iran and Saudi Arabia has received (on the whole) little attention from the American press. Curious. Because America is not directly involved, then who cares? Biden, to his credit, was positive about the deal, although some around him and others in Washington offered their pooh-who's.

It has the potential to be more significant, and it presents opportunities should we look.

The immediate plus is that it stymies Netanyahu's embrace of Saudi Arabia as a coalition force against Iran. This diminishes his power and the Iranian regime's because each relies upon mutual enemy status. America could seize the opportunity to better relations with Iran and China.

American foreign policy is in dire straights, and we don't know it -- Biden, least of all.

Please read my "Award Joe Biden with Another Term?'

Many thanks. Best.
