Cailian, manufacturing jobs were lost, but others in information and service were gained. The U.S. has grown substantially, and living standards have risen beyond other rich world countries over the last few decades.

Americans were likely the biggest beneficiaries of globalization and the transfer of manufacturing to places more proficient, the fantastic one being China. Unfortunately, this success is now unappreciated by Americans, including Joe Biden.
