By the same argument then we don't need Germany, Spain, Portugal and quite possibly Britain and the United States.

Russia is a place of poetry, dance, music and history. It has scientists, writers and chess players. I say that we wish to keep all that.

As far as Hong Kong is concerned. Hong Kong would not be there if it were not for China. The current relationship is certainly not the best but discarding one or other places is no solution. Same with Ukraine and Russia as awful as that situation currently is.
