Bill Gates is enormously qualified as a voice on how to address global warming. There is no one person with the answers, but he has written a very creditable book that is worth reading.

His contribution to the world in addressing health, schooling and agricultural as well the all important ingredient for prosperity -- having reliable electricity -- say much about his talent, good will and generosity.

The effort and cost of correcting the huge problem of climate change (which we created) is sure to stretch our resources. An unprecedented coordination of governments (federal, state and city) from all over the globe has to happen.

Gates' one important point is that it has to be led by the wealthy countries -- and particularly the U.S. (with their ability to research and innovate). Developing countries generally don't have those kind of resources and their actions can follow later.

The geoengineering paragraph (or perhaps two) is not with great emphasis. But is there because we need to encourage ALL ideas, particularly at this time.

Many thanks for your article Stepanie Leguichard.
