Barry, the mileage issue is minor and is more anxiety for those not owning electric vehicles and don't know better.

We have plenty of desire, thanks to Elon Musk, but the obstacle of price is significant because, currently, there is no secondhand market that accounts for most purchases.

Biden's incentives to buy draw attention but apart from that are a waste of money because the demand already exists.

What could make the change more rapid is friendliness to imports from China. They are more forward than the U.S. with EVs, and we should take advantage of that. Getting rid of the tariff would be the first sensible thing to do.

Unfortunately, I can see city bus fleets being arm-twisted into replacing with "Buy American" ones, which hurts practically everyone.
