B Kumaravadivelu,
This would be a surrender and not a negotiation. Pope Francis may be more helpful in sticking with theology.
The Biden blunders in Ukraine and Israel are massive and likely won't meet harsh scrutiny till after the election.
Admittedly, American foreign policy was in a shambles with Trump's buffoonery. But Biden's recklessness, shortsightedness in Afghanistan (not only the messy exit), and failure to quickly revive Obama's nuclear agreement with Iran and TPP were costly gaffs. Relations with Xi Jinping's China reached a dangerous low, although that may have improved somewhat.
Great leaders act boldly and decisively at critical moments. Biden is incapable of this because he lacks vision and cleverness. He is an incrementalist who is ALWAYS behind and reacting to events --NEVER determining them.
On Ukraine, Biden has allowed Putin time and handicapped Zelensky. I wrote "Setbacks on Ukraine Must Not Be Made into Defeat," suggesting ONE action he can take NOW). Israel was an avoidable tragedy that Biden likely could not have prevented but fell onto the wrong side. I wrote "Was Biden Netanyahu's Chum or Chump?" and invite you to read it.
Many thanks. Best.
