The Republican Party is gone. It's possible a leader can pick up some of the pieces and transform them into a NEW Republican Party.

But for now, members have zero interest in history (as you point out) or vision of the future. The zealots and grifters can thrive because of poor or no leadership. They focus on hatred of Democrats, which has morphed into hatred of democracy, of which Tucker Carlson is the epitome.

Zelensky has been a lesson in leadership to America. We are still not scoring high, but better than before, as illustrated by the drift away from Trump.
