B Kean, eliminating AC is a non-starter. But we can make its use more efficient (individual units in windows are probably the worst). Adjusting the setting is way more efficient than turning AC on and off.

Architectural design can continue to have a significant role in creating buildings with fewer energy needs—also tech advances in glass where we can enjoy light and outlooks.

Having energy prices reflecting their true costs would modify habits—no need for shaming.

The greater spread of efficient AC and refrigeration in developing countries can significantly improve millions of lives.
