Anton, there is doubt because time is NOT on the West's side. Biden can be out of office, a different administration, and the public can refuse to support an ongoing conflict. This is apart from international pulls and twists.

America can provide Ukraine with long-range equipment to reclaim territory, particularly Crimea. But Biden again declines to supply this necessary equipment and draws out the conflict with the hope of what? God knows.

But to be sure, it is NOT in anyone's best interest -- least Ukraine's.
