Andy Ostroy, we can discuss the justifications, but Israel attempting to remove Hamas from Gaza in the way it's doing is foolish.

It will result in Israel being less secure and less prosperous. The loss of young Israelis engaged in a ground incursion into Gaza would be horrific, second front could open on the Lebanese border, not to mention who-knows-what in the West Bank.

It's not a matter of justification. It's what to do about it. And there are more intelligent ways than the Israeli Defense Minister described.
