Andrew Tanner, this is a rant. I have no idea what you are proposing apart from California going alone.

The Biden administration has passed some significant legislation in infrastructure and brought many children out of poverty.

The real problem is the Democrats don't have enough folks voting for them. And this can't be achieved by advertising from Washington but needs addressing at the local level. Unfortunately, Democrats, years back, moved their resources away from places where they had little chance of winning. This was a mistake because the void was simply filled by the Republicans.

Democrats need to be investing in places where folk don't look like them. It's unsexy, but that's what needs doing. Shouting from Washington about voting rights and the filibuster is NOT making progress.
