Anointing Kamala Harris is problematic for Democrats and the VP herself.

A competition among at least a dozen talented candidates (including Harris) will increase voter involvement and strengthen the nominee finally selected.

The process will be exciting and nail-biting, and likely appear at times chaotic and has the potential to change the trajectory of the Democratic Party and America.
