…k that technology when paired with community/national policy has the potential to impact emissions. For example if we went all in for bullet trains and local mass transit, we could impact the use of cars and airplanes. This is different from making a more fuel efficient car because it sidesteps the current system.

Andrew, high-speed rail is excellent, except near impossible in the U.S. because of land rights. We need help getting it to work between SF and LA.
When we can get them to work correctly, driverless electric cars (Elon Musk, bless him) would be an enormous step forward.
