Walter Mondale, Al Gore. Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris were all chosen by the Democratic Party establishment, and ALL lost (Biden won under the cover of a pandemic). They were lackluster, if not unlikable, nominees who failed to connect with audiences.

In contrast, the talents of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama broke through this system and won -- each having two terms.

If there is a single lesson, VOTERS must choose nominees.
