An overreach of power serving too few people

Donald and his mates are hellbent on getting another conservative judge onto our Supreme Court, because they can — it’s good measure and a last hurrah. A problem is that it puts the court out of whack. That our court serves all of us Americans unfortunately isn’t a current Republican consideration. They are making a power grab for the one thing they can do before losing the White House and possibly the Senate — placing party above country and shoving a minority opinion onto the majority. All this is happening in an ambience of infectious disease, unbridled incompetence, vanquished credibility and lunatic possibilities by Il Duce’s final weeks. But these are neither distracting nor mattering when arms are in reach of the grand prize of delivering a champion to the Supreme Court. The combo of Republican Senate and White House is now existing in a state of siege fiercely holding off a changing world not of their liking. The sea parted when Ginsberg couldn’t hang on any longer. The opening was a gift from god — cry hallelujah from the mountain tops!
