Alexander, Trump could win back the presidency, and destruction is guaranteed to follow. Internationally, it would be worse than domestically, which would be bad enough.

Elite Democrats made an unimaginative and cowardly decision in allowing Biden to stay as he is now a liability. He made Donald Trump the centerpiece of his campaign and, in effect, bolstered him.

Democrats could use an underutilized position to forward their position beyond Trump - the vice presidential nominee. Vacate the position and install an extraordinary communicator for Biden's glaring inadequacy. Buttigieg would be excellent.

A bold move is essential to secure the presidency.
