Alexander, there are signs that Donald Trump is waining, but the mistrust he fostered in the population will be with us for some time. Fox, the Wall Street Journal, and the NY Post have distanced themselves in the past months.

Trump will continue to imply he is running in 2024 because what is his alternative? It maintains attention and grift. My feeling is he will not run.

As for Mike Pence? I have no idea of his plans. To successfully run for the presidency, a candidate must be likable, have an identity, or at least a pulse. DeSantis looks increasingly the likely Republican nominee.

Whatever, the Democrats have work ahead of them. Joe Biden moving aside for someone younger and more talented could be announced now. I invite you to read "Please, Joe, Not Another Term" I wrote recently.
