Alexander, part of the Republican dysfunction, returns to Newt Gingrich, who believed that politics is war when it is the opposite.

In choosing war, the Republicans removed themselves from policy (McConnell never had an interest in it) and politics. Logically, the Republicans have no platform -- and don't.

McCarthy's House, void of policy and politics, found itself in control and with nothing to do. The devil makes work for idle hands -- and did.

Donald Trump was cast perfectly for this play. History and future are mainly irrelevant to him. Donald is a grown man moving up and down on a see-saw but goes nowhere -- each day starting like the one before.

A NEW Republican Party has to form.

Many thanks. Best.
