Alexander, I wish I shared your confidence in Biden's ability.
Biden continues to not only allow popular sentiment to determine foreign policy, but he stokes it. He repeated his commitment to militarily defend Taiwan when this would be a considerably more dangerous adventure than a total commitment to taking back Ukraine from Putin.
Biden is outspoken on things he can't deliver and simultaneously slow on things he can. Suggestions of leadership change in Moscow and (by his Defense Secretary) introducing the broader and intangible goal of "weakening" Russia offers ambiguity of purpose that we don't need.
