Alexander, billionaires are a mixed bag of people and generalizing can be inaccurate and not all together helpful. They don't actually make the tax laws. And if others wanted them changed then they surely could.

I recall Elizabeth Warren (no poor person herself) blasting Mike Bloomberg for NOT paying his fair share of tax. His response (that was under reported and appreciated) was that in paying tax he simply follows the law and that Elizabeth Warren, being in the Senate, was better positioned than he to change those laws.

Biden"s proposals to collect tax to pay for the infrastructure and BBB bills look ad-hock. Changing the rate of corporate tax is unlikely to deliver and risks distorting even more a distorted system (and the wealth tax, still in progressive's minds, would amount to a fruitless nightmare).

Better for us all to move away from income to a VAT. This would mean that companies like Amazon would have to pay tax because they buy stuff. The disadvantages of it being a flat tax can be offset by some kind of basic income paid into the pockets of all in America.

Many thanks
