Adebayo, you offer way too much praise for Biden and his administration, or at least it's premature.
We have tens of thousands of people dead, millions of refugees, tens of millions likely pushed into food security, and physical damage of perhaps hundreds of billions of dollars.
And as you and Thomas Friedman (NYT) boast, without losing a single American soldier. To which, I ask, WHY NOT? Are we averse to risking American lives? When the outcome is vital to the sovereignty of nations and our democratic life?
Mind-boggling is Biden's insistence that the U.S. would defend Taiwan from a Xi/China attack. The price of an initial defense of Ukraine (before the West sat by watching Putin sharpen his knives for butchery) would be a tiny fraction of a military engagement with China.
Many thanks. But you may have gathered I have a different view.
